Noctelucent Cloud & the Aurora.

A Panorama of the northern horizon on the night of 27/28 July 03. 8 secs exposure @ 1.8 with 200ISO seemed to do the trick.

This is the first of 4 photos taken on the night of 18/19 Aug 03. This one is mainly green with some cloud reflecting the street lights. The bright star is Arcturus.

Now more action as purple starts to show.

Ripling & raying green, with a belt of black aurora.

A second band formed under the first. It was far more lively with rippling & rays spreading upwards to 70 dg.
